Compassion Journaling Course
Compassion Journaling is a therapeutic tool designed to help you navigate life’s challenges with greater ease and emotional resilience. Through guided creative writing exercises, this course’s intention is to help you connect with a wise, non-judgmental part of yourself - an inner compassionate voice that listens attentively, understands you fully, and provides a nurturing space for reflection and growth.
Course Aims

• To provide tools to establish a Compassion Journaling practice.​
Course Details
Each week focuses on a different aspect of Compassion Journaling through creative writing and guided reflection.
Week One: Introduction to Compassion Journaling

• Defining the qualities of an ideal confidante.
• Creating a dialogue with your compassionate guide.
• Exploring Compassion Journaling as a supportive framework.

Writing Exercises: Hand-mapping, Fictional Job Description, Compassion Tracker.
Week Two: Attentive Listening
• Exploring deep listening and feeling truly heard.
• Tuning into body-self wisdom through guided meditation and writing.
• Engaging with emotional, physical, and intellectual ways of knowing.
• Building a meaningful connection with your journal.

Writing Exercises: Poetry prompts, Reflective writing, Pantoum poetry, Guided Visualisation.
Week Three: Self-Acceptance
• Becoming your own best confidante.
• Addressing barriers to self-compassion.
• Linking self-compassion with deeper connections to others.
• Practical tips for sustaining a journaling habit and noticing growth.
